Description

Kaliotoxin is a cyclic polypeptide composed of 38 amino acids, with 3 pairs of disulfide bonds in its sequence. It is a novel peptide-based inhibitor of BK-type in neurons, which can inhibit Kv channels and Ca2+-activated K+ channels and can be used to study the regulation of cell membrane potential and neuronal excitability.
