Sea samplings are the best seafood products known to everyone. Their nutritional composition and efficacy are extremely high. They are one of the eight best seafood products in the world, together with mountain ginseng, flower gum and dried abalone. Sea cucumber peptide is a kind of protein hydrolytic substance which is mainly composed of small molecular peptides and coexist with various functional components after being hydrolyzed by protease and specially prepared. Recent studies have shown that sea cucumber peptide has unique effects on anti-oxidation, skin care and beauty.
Recently, sea cucumber peptide was reported to have some effects on fibroblasts and impair collagen metabolism.
1. Efficacy of sea cucumber peptide on fibroblasts
NIH/3T3: mouse in vitro embryonic fibroblasts
As can be seen from Figure 1, when the equivalent concentration of sea cucumber peptide is 200μg/mL, it can significantly promote the growth of NIH/3T3 cells, and the proliferation rate is 33.9%±13.8%. Moreover, in the range of 0-200 μg/mL, with the increase of the effective concentration, the promoting effect also gradually increases, showing a dose dependence. When the concentration of sea cucumber peptide was 800μg/mL, the growth of NIH/3T3 cells was inhibited, and the survival rate was 53.5%±2.3%.
2. Efficacy of sea cucumber peptide on somatic collagen metabolism
As a representative component of collagen, Figure 2 shows that sea cucumber peptide can promote the metabolism of collagen in NIH/3T3 somatic cells, and with the increase of sea cucumber peptide concentration, the excretion of collagen in NIH/3T3 somatic cells gradually increases in a dose dependent manner. When the equivalent concentration of sea cucumber peptide was 200μg/mL and 800μg/mL, it had a very significant effect on the metabolism of collagen in NIH/3T3 somatic cells, and the equivalent concentration of hydroxyproline was (1.43 ±0.04)μg/mL and (1.96±0.16)μg/mL, respectively.
With the improvement of quality of life, the problem of skin aging has been paid more and more attention. With the increase of age, skin will undergo degenerative changes, and the effect will slowly become weak or absent. The research shows that a certain concentration of sea cucumber peptide can have a reasonable effect on the proliferation of fibroblasts and the metabolism of collagen, and can use sea cucumber peptide as a key functional raw material to design and develop a series of sea cucumber peptide cosmetic products with anti-aging repair effect, which can significantly enhance the actual effect of anti-aging repair of skin care products and slow down skin aging. It not only conforms to the development trend of natural products in contemporary skin care products, but also benefits the diversified development trend of seafood industry.
