About us:
Terlipressin, chemically known as triglycyl-lysine vasopressin, is a novel synthetic formulation of long-acting vasopressin. It is a prodrug that is inactive and is slowly “released” from the active lysine vasopressin in vivo by the action of aminopeptidase to remove three glycyllyl residues from its N terminus. Therefore, terlipressin is equivalent to a reservoir of lysine vasopressin that is released at a steady rate.
